Air Date and Format

The Catalunya Grand Prix Circuit will take place on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Several different training sessions, against the clock time races, and qualifying races will start taking place two days earlier, on Friday, May 11. They will be held from early in the morning till late in the evening until Saturday, May 12. The Formula 1 regulations have become increasingly stricter over the past few years, and this has affected many of the pilots’ performances. The FIA has always defended itself against the waves of criticism, arguing that the number of accidents has been considerably reduced, while invoking the pregnant need to keep the cars down, as technology advances. These changes, however, will remain in effect for the upcoming F1 Spanish Grand Prix event, despite the objections of several major participants.

Participants and Favorites

Ferrari is the most famous Formula 1 Team in the world, with 15 pilots, 16 builders, and 221 Grand Prix wins. Over the past years, the Italians detained by Fiat imposed nine times in Le Mans between 1949 and 1965, to operate exclusively in the Formula 1 CM since 1973. However, their efforts seem no match against British driver Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes, who recently became Formula 1 World Champion for the fourth time in his career after finishing 9th in the Grand Prix of Mexico, while his rival, German Sebastian Vettel from Ferrari was ranked No. 4 in the race won by Dutchman Max Verstappen of Red Bull. Hamilton remains the main favorite for the upcoming Spanish F1 Grand Prix.
