What’s your excuse?

I cannot write today because it is too late…

No!  I am too busy.

Aaaaahhh my stomach aches!

I don’t think I am a writer, what I wrote makes no sense…

No one is interested…

Excuses, excuses, excuses.

I found myself making one excuse after another as I attempted to write today’s article. It was easy to find all the reasons not to but suddenly like a bomb a revelation hit me out of nowhere, ‘the words you write will reach someone, don’t give up!

I said, ”Please forgive me Father.

As i sat down to write i remembered my mother’s words in my mind, ‘nuttn good never come easy‘ and she was right.

Whenever the devil, the opposer, sees the work of God in progress, He launches an attack to sabotage it. He causes us to question our ability and doubt the importance of what we are doing.

Excuses, doubt, lack of confidence and feelings of inadequacy bombard us.

I encourage someone today to be aware of these tactics. Focus on what God has in mind for you and believe that there is greatness in you. The enemy will try to stop you because he too sees the ability you have to affect lives.

We have the potential to do whatever God created us to do and not what we believe we are capable of doing.

Sometimes we use our past and present experiences, abilities , personalities and the expectations or opinions of others to determine who we are and what we can do. But God specializes in working through normal people who  believe in His supernatural power and His ability to work through them.

I learnt today that all God wants from me is my total willingness to yield to Him. I can come to Him with my weaknesses while believing in His supernatural power and He will release the plans He has for me.

I pray that someone will just forget the excuses, banish the doubts and totally let God have His way in their life.

Not by might nor by power but by my Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty.
